Engineering
Capabilities
Quashnick
Tool Corporation's experienced engineering staff works together to
analyze, organize and develop the mold build schedule prior to its
exposure to the shop. Our fully networked system of XP Pro workstations
give us the ability
to design and build molds quickly and efficiently
through data transfer interaction throughout the shop floor.
This
results in molds built to exacting specifications with optimum manufacturability
in mind, that produce parts accurately
and cost effectively.
Key Benefits
- Organized for Optimum
Production Scheduling.
- Reliable in delivery
commitments.
- Efficient to ensure
on-time delivery at competitive costs.
Solid Modeling
Using
Pro/Engineer WildFire 2 , SolidWorks 2006, Autodesk Inventor
R4, Mechanical Desktop 4 and AutoCAD 2000 software
with our fully Networked Workstations we have the equipment we need
to model both the complex solid mold assemblies as well as the intricate
plastic parts demanded by our customers.
Mold
Flow Analysis
We
also have the capability of analyzing the plastic part before any
steel has been cut. Utilizing MoldFlow's Pro/Plastic Adviser
Quashnick Tool Corporation can select the specific resin requested
by our customer and sample the part filling with parameters very similar
to those of an actual molding machine. Thoroughly examining the information
extracted from the analysis aids in the development of our injection
mold design. We use this information to recommend gate locations,
suggest areas requiring cooling in the tool, modify the part to assist
in mold filling and to specify areas for crucial venting.
CAM
With
both Pro/Manufacturing and SURFCAM 2001
we have the ability to turn complex surfaces into cutter paths for
our Bostomatic 12G. Our 3R tooling allows
us to take electrodes straight from the CNC to our 2 Sodick
CNC EDM's without having to exchange the fixture it was held
in during manufacturing.
