Quality Policy

The Quashnick Tool Corporation Quality Policy reads:

“Quashnick Tool Corporation will provide engineering services, mold manufacturing and plastic part production that meets customer requirements at all times”.

Since its inception, Quashnick Tool Corporation has focused on quality first and foremost.

A quality plastic part begins with a well defined concept communicated through detailed design and analysis. To ensure successful function and economic viability, we recommend that our customers employ the consulting talents of our engineering team as early in their project as possible. Early involvement adds value to the project by eliminating costly design and manufacturing rework with the added benefit of knowing that the part will meet the necessary requirements.

We understand that in order to reliably produce high volumes of plastic parts, one must begin by building an extremely high quality mold. Terry Quashnick earned his Journeyman Machinist and Tool Maker certificates almost 40 years ago and has mentored another 13 tool makers through the apprentice program over the years. Today we still demand the highest level of skill and craftsmanship from our toolmakers, and every new mold is thoroughly inspected, then qualified to customer specification prior to starting production.
As a mold moves from tooling manufacture into production our quality system assures the following:

  • resin materials compliance and tracking

  • process SOP documentation and training of production staff

  • records of all mold history and maintenance

  • cleanroom environmental control

  • documentation and training for inspection personnel

  • a full metrology tool set including optical comparator, vision inspection equipment and calibrated micrometers, calipers and gages

  • collection, analysis and availability of quality data and documentation

  • the application of quality data, SPC trends, and six sigma DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) to continuous improvement
